Volunteer Engagement Manager
Sarah Pedelty has lived a life rooted in volunteerism and community engagement. After graduating from Iowa State University (GO CYCLONES!) with degrees in journalism, mass communications, and speech communications. Sarah joined AmeriCorps to serve as a community engagement coordinator at a business college in Des Moines, IA. In 2012, Sarah made her way from Iowa to Fresno and began serving in another AmeriCorps role as part of a volunteer infrastructure program with Community Food Bank.
Fast forward to today, when Sarah still holds tight to her Iowa roots, but has grown to love the Central Valley through her community involvement, road trips to explore California’s diverse landscapes, and career in volunteer engagement. Serving with Habitat for Humanity Greater Fresno Area is exciting as she is able to share her passion to mobilize, educate, and engage community members with the ultimate goal of empowering everyone to make a difference in their community. Sarah’s hope for each volunteer is to not only have a meaningful experience building homes, communities, and hope with Habitat, but have a lot of fun while doing it! She can’t wait to see you when you join us as a Habitat volunteer!
