Glenda Hill

Past Board President

Public service has been the center focus of Glenda Hill's life. She is a lifelong resident in the community in which she has served. She has been married for 44 years and is the mother of two, and grandmother of one.

On a local level she was elected to the City Council in 2006. She was re-elected in 2010 for a four year term and appointed Mayor Pro-Tem by Orange Cove City Council. Glenda has been a member of the Orange Cove Chamber of Commerce since 2003.

At a regional level, Ms. Hill has served on the Executive Board of the South San Joaquin Valley Partnerships for the League of California Cities and she is the representative for Orange Cove on the San Joaquin Air Quality Control Board for the Central Valley Region.

In 2005 Glenda was chosen as the Woman of the Year by the Orange Cove Chamber of Commerce, and in 2004 she received the Outstanding Citizenship Award from the Fresno County Sheriff's Department. Later, in 2009 she was the recipient of the Woman of the Year Award from the State of California Legislature presented by Assemblyman Michael Villines.

Glenda is a regular church attender and has a strong passion for foundational building in cities and families. She enjoys family gatherings and community events. She believes her experience has equipped her to serve in areas with diversity. She is thankful to be able to serve Habitat, her City and County.
