Michael was born and raised in Clovis, California and graduated from Clovis West High School in 1980. In 1981, he started working in the family construction business and became a principal shareholder. The company was liquidated in 2011 after a successful work history of 36 years in the Central Valley. Most recently, he was involved in private money lending which provided the finances for short-term loans that targeted home renovations in residential real estate.
Now, he is semi-retired. Michael has been married to his wife Genevieve for 27 years and is the father of two children, Brent and Haley. His involvement in the community includes becoming a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California and sharing his faith with a little boy named Webster. Webster, a child in Big Brothers Big Sisters, is now 17 years of age!
As an active member with his church for 25 years, he was formerly on the board of trustees. Through his participation, he was involved in the land and building campaign and mentored volunteers in the youth ministry.
Michael is honored and grateful to be a part of the Habitat for Humanity organization.
