Michele Soplata | ReStore Staff
Michele Elizabeth Soplata was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. At a very young age she moved to Lodi, CA. Michele was employed by Aetna following several years of various types of employment where she retired in October of 2011. In an effort to further her education, Michele returned to school where she discovered the Federal Work Study Program (FWSP) while in college. This is where the greatest change in her life began.
Michele always questioned how we, as humanitarians, could readily support those of third world countries and not be supportive of our own. There she discovered Habitat for Humanity, where affordable housing is provided to qualified applicants by extending a hand up as opposed to a hand-out. For Michele, being part of a wonderful surrounding where people give back to people is like a dream come true.
