Matthew Grundy | CEO
Recognized for his entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and passion for building organizations, Matthew Sterling Grundy brings expertise in organizational development, real estate, finance and capacity building to the Valley. Most importantly Matthew has a genuine love for people. Since, 2015 as CEO at Habitat for Humanity Greater Fresno Area, Matthew has helped the organization improve housing conditions for 28 times the number of families it had served on an annual basis prior to his arrival. While Matthew’s leadership has led to the expansion of building homes and hope with families across two counties and four countries, he is focused on seeing his local community thrive. In 2017 Matthew founded the Central California Land Trust; a 501(c)3 Community Land Trust that is establishing affordable mixed income housing units in perpetuity. (ccltrust.org).
Matthew, an entrepreneur at heart, focuses much of his time on building others. In his first year at Habitat, Matthew’s efforts helped the organization realize a 90% swing in its bottom line. In his first 18 months he helped pioneer four new housing business lines that have led to Habitat increasing its number of families served by 10X. Matthew, a current Habitat for Humanity International U.S Council member brings experience, aptitude, and a genuine heart for his community.
Having experienced homelessness as a teen, Mr. Grundy witnessed how health outcomes are a derivative of decent housing. As such, he now proudly serves his community as the Treasurer and board member for Fresno’s First Steps Home program. FFSH focuses on raising and administering funds to agencies focused on eradicating chronic homelessness.
As a former consultant, Matthew continues to support local business board member of the Clovis Chamber of Commerce and Valley PBS. Simply put, Matthew loves to see people and organizations thrive.
Matthew Grundy met his wonderful wife Jocelyn at their alma Mater, the University of Southern California. They are grateful parents of six, and dedicate their lives to demonstrating the love of Jesus.
