Meron Shita | NR Specialist
Meron Shita is a dedicated member of the Habitat for Humanity Fresno County team. Before coming to Habitat, she received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Riverside and completed her Master’s Degree in Public Health at Fresno State in 2014 with an emphasis in Health Promotion. Meron currently holds the position of Interim Community Development Manager at Habitat for Humanity Fresno County.
Through her work with Habitat Fresno, she is able to approach public health from a holistic standpoint which encompasses the built environment. Habitat for Humanity is best known for building homes in partnership with low income families. Ms. Shita is proud to be part of this mission. She is also proud to be part of the Habitat’s Neighborhood Revitalization division, which seeks to take that traditional partnership between Habitat and homeowners and expand it to help build up communities and improve quality of life in our focus neighborhoods. She is most interested in youth and resident development and finding new and effective approaches to combat health inequity as it relates to the built environment.
